Shahjalal Islami Bank organized “Annual Risk Management Conference-2023”

Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC (SJIB PLC) organized “Annual Risk Management Conference-2023” on 18th November 2023 through Hybrid Platform. The Conference was presided over by the Managing Director & CEO Mr. Mosleh Uddin Ahmed while the Honourable Director, Department of Off-Site Supervision of Bangladesh Bank Mr. Md. Nurul Amin was present as Chief guest in the conference. The Chairman of Risk Management Committee (RMC) & Director of the Bank Engr. Md. Towhidur Rahman, the Independent Directors of the Bank Mr. Ekramul Haque & Mr. Nasir Uddin Ahmed and the Director of Bangladesh Bank’s Off-Site Supervision Department Mr. Md. Jabdul Islam were also present as special guests in the conference and took part in the discussion.

In the Hybrid meeting, the Chief Risk Officer (CRO) of the Bank Mr. Mohammed Ashfaqul Hoque, FCA, FCS presented the key note papers on overall Risk Profile of the Bank, Risk Management Framework, Risk Mitigation Methodologies, Capital Management, Core Risks Management and upcoming challenges of the Bank. The Joint Directors of Department of Off-Site Supervision of Bangladesh Bank Mr. Mr. Md. Rashedul Islam, Mr. Mohammad Arif Hasan and Mr. Md. Jamil Tabriz also took part in the discussion from the regulatory perspective on different risk issues. The Head of Public Relations Department of the Bank Mr. Md. Shamsuddoha moderated the program.

Among others the Additional Managing Directors of the Bank Mr. Abdul Aziz, Mr. S. M. Mainuddin Chowdhury, Mr. Mian Quamrul Hasan Chowdhury & Mr. M. Akhter Hossain, the Deputy Managing Directors Mr. Imtiaz U. Ahmed, Mr. M. M. Saiful Islam, Mr. Mustafa Husain and Mr. Md. Nazimuddoula were present in the Annual Risk Management Conference-2023. Apart from this, more than nine hundred (900) participants including the Head of different Divisions & Executives from the Corporate Head Office, the Branch Managers of 140 Branches and 04 Sub-Branch as well as the Executives and Officers from the Branches connected via Virtual Platform in the conference.
