Mr Mohammad Solaiman and Mr Mohammed Younus and Mr Abdul Barek have been unanimously elected chairman and vice chairmen respectively of Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited (SJIBL).

They were elected at the 117th meeting of the board of directors of the bank held in the city Sunday, said a press release.

Mr Solaiman is the managing director of Paradise Corporation and Paradise Electronics. He is also the immediate past chairman of the board of directors of Mercantile Insurance Company Limited and founder director of Central Hospital Limited, Eden Multicare Hospital and Hardco (International) School.

Mr Younus is the chairman of Younus Group and managing director of Sonali Paper and Board Mills Limited, Younus Newsprint Mills Limited, Younus Paper Mills Limited, Younus Spinning Mills Limited and Younus Filament Industries Limited and sponsor director of NTV and Express Insurance Limited.

Mr Barek is the proprietor of Rony Electronics, Arzo Electronics, New Rony Electronics and Jony Electronics, the release added.
