Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited (SJIBL) inaugurated itâ€™s 124th Branch at Brahmanpara Upazila in Cumilla District on 29th July 2019. The honorable Director of the Bank Alhaj Mohiuddin Ahmed formally inaugurated the Branch as Chief Guest. The Managing Director & CEO of the Bank Mr. M. Shahidul Islam presided over the ceremony. At the same day an ATM Booth has also been inaugurated in the Branch Premises.
The Upazila Nirbahi Officer Mr. Fouzia Siddiqua and the Upazila Vice-Chairman Mr. Md. Aminul Islam Suzon were also present as special guest in the occasion.
Among others the Head of Common Services Division of the Bank Mr. Md. Mahbubur Rasheed, the Manager of Cumilla Branch Mr. Md. Humayan Kabir Mia, the President of Brahmanpara Business Development Forum Mr. Md. Monir Hossain, Prominent Businessman Mr. Md. Jahirul Islam, the Manager of Mainamati Branch of the Bank Mr. Gazi Md. Golam Rabbi, the Manager of Brahmanpara Branch Mr. Ayeub Ali & Local Industrialist and Businessmen were also present at the opening ceremony.
In his speech Alhaj Mohiuddin Ahmed said, the banking sector is playing a significant role for the overall economic growth of the country. Shahjalal Islami Bank Ltd. achieved clientâ€™s credibility due to contemporary and modern technology based services. He also said Shahjalal Islami Bank intends to invest more in SME sector for overall development and business expansion of Brahmanpara Upazila.
The Managing Director & CEO of the Bank Mr. M. Shahidul Islam discussed elaborately about the Bankâ€™s deposit and investment Schemes. He also said that, Shahjalal Islami Bank playing an important role in economic growth of the country & creating job opportunities by disbursing proper investments. The Bank is also continuously looking for new business opportunities to create new entrepreneurs. He also mentioned that, the Bank is working to bring back all classes of people to take them under banking services.
The opening ceremony included reciting from the Holy Quran, Milad Mahfil and Doa was held at the Branch premises.
